Tools for hybrid working

Our team of data analysts spend a lot of time analyzing millions of conversations across the internet to find search trends before they hit mainstream. This week we've been looking specifically at hybrid-working technology.

According to McKinsey & Company research, 9 out of 10 organizations will continue to combine remote & onsite work. But, this fact doesn't illustrate what that future will need.
A hybrid working model needs more than a desktop in the office, a laptop at home & an internet connection in between.

As organizations shift to hybrid work, forward-thinking executives will need to think about shifting their technology investments too.

The 2021 State of IT: The Annual Report on IT Budgets and Trends supports this by saying that 76% of businesses (across the United States & Europe) plan on making long-term IT changes.

A stat further supported by our research on Google trends.

We've seen searches for IT tools to help with hybrid working increase sevenfold, as has the number of SAAS (software as a service) start-ups in this space.

Here are just a few that might be worth noting:

  • Searches for Acadal have increased 99X+ in the last 6 months. It's a “change management tool” designed to incentivize collaboration and learning among virtual and in-person teams.

  • Searches for Opground have increased 99X+ in the last 24 months. It's an HR tech stack that serves as a marketplace between job seekers & employers. It allows employers to filter & interview potential recruits completely online.

  • Searches for Findem have increased by 1100% in the last 5 years. It's an automated recruiting platform where their algorithm quickly matches employers with employees that check certain boxes. This results in 10x faster recruiting when compared to traditional recruitment methods according to the website.

  • Conceptboard is a visual collaboration application. Searches for ‘Conceptboard’ have increased by 5900% in the last 6 months alone. Virtual and in-person teams can use the tool to share documents and ideas and work on them together. The start-up has already raised $640K in funding and is currently valued at $3.57M

So, has anyone in my network ever heard of these tools? Is anyone actively using them? Any others we should be made aware of? Let us know!
